Recently, dancers from the Academy of Ballet & Dance Arts have received placement and scholarships with the one of the nations most prestigious ballet schools, Orlando Ballet School.  Admission was awarded contingent upon auditions held throughout January. These dancers will study with internationally known teachers Fernando Bujones and Gelsey Kirkland.

Each dancer receives dance instruction each week at the Academy of Ballet & Dance Arts in Lake Jackson.  Presently these dancers are preparing for their upcoming roles in Festival Ballet’s production of Coppelia, June 14 and 15 at The Montgomery College Theater in The Woodlands. Academy Director Deborah Rayburn states, “We are pleased to work with these talented young dancers at our school and in the Coppelia production. They have reached a level of artistic quality while maintaining high academic grades. They are a credit to their parents, The Academy, and the community.
