Who can resist charms of "Cinderella"?
Festival Ballet's 2006-'07 season ends with a performance of "Cinderella" at the
San Jacinto College South's Marie Spence Flickinger Fine Arts Center
at 13735 Beamer Road at 4 p.m. June 16.
The classic 17th century fairytale unfolds in a glittering performance that will
appeal to all ages.
Cinderella goes to the ball with gifts from her Fairy Godmother - a beautiful
dress and a wonderful pumpkin coach.
There, Cinderella charms the handsome Prince Charming, the clock strikes
midnight and only a glass slipper remains as a reminder of the magical evening.
Of course, the distraught prince searches for his princess, places the glass
slipper on her foot and all live happily ever after.
Festival Ballet is under the artistic direction of Deborah Rayburn.
Featuring professional dancers, apprentices and advanced level students, the
company performs a broad range of dance, including classical ballets and
contemporary new works. Tickets are $10 each.
