The Nutcracker returns to South Belt

Shown are South Belt residents Kaleitha Gilson as the ballerina doll and CJ Gilson as Drosselmeyer from Festival Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker, to be presented Dec. 16 at 2 and 7 p.m., and Dec.17 at 4 p.m. at the San Jacinto College South Marie Spence Flickinger Fine Arts Center.

 

TheNutcracker is a fairy-tale story that includes the Christmas tree that grows, spinning snowflakes, waltzing flowers, toy soldiers battling the Mouse King, the Nutcracker Prince, the Sugarplum Fairy and her dashing cavalier. The Nutcracker transforms the theater into a winter wonderland. The production includes promising young dancers from the South Belt and greater Houston areas.
