'The Nutcracker' on tap

Festival Ballet presents "The Nutcracker", December 13, through December 15, 2002 at The Montgomery College Theater, 3200 Hwy 242 West, in The Woodlands.

"The Nutcracker" is a fairy-tale story that never fails to enchant - from the Christmas tree that grows, spinning snowflakes and waltzing flowers, to the toy soldiers battling the Mouse King, and of course, the Nutcracker Prince, the Sugarplum Fairy and her dashing Cavalier. The Nutcracker fills the season with excitement, as it transforms The Montgomery College Theater into a winter wonderland.

This Nutcracker is very special, as it will include talented young dancers from The Woodlands, greater South Montgomery County, Northern Harris County, and Brazoria County who have roles in Festival Ballet’s production. Open auditions were held at the Woodlands Dance Academy. The opportunity to perform in a production of this scale is thrilling for the young dancers and an experience they will treasure.
