Festival Ballet will present the full-length ballet "Cinderella" with music by Prokofiev at the Montgomery College Theater, 3200 Hwy 242, on June 5, with performances at 2 & 6 p.m.
Once upon a time there was a handsome prince, a young girl with a dream of attending a ball at his palace, a wicked step-mother and two step-sisters who would stop at nothing to ruin her dream This is the timeless love story of Cinderella (little cinder girl). One of the fairy tales written by seventeenth century poet Charles Perrault. This year marks 106 years since the first Russian ballet performance of the classic tale.
Festival Ballet’s production will feature professional guest artists Mary Beth Arrington (Tulsa Ballet Theater, City Ballet of Houston) as Cinderella, John Brinkman (Tulsa Ballet Theater, City Ballet of Houston) as Prince Charming, Barbara LeGualt (Tennessee Festival Ballet, Houston Dance Theater) as the Fairy Godmother, and Scott Parsons (City Ballet of Houston) as the Court Jester.
